Twit or Tweet?

Last night in our Family Night my husband told the kids he'd signed up for Twitter but had yet to send his first tweet!  Our youngest said, "Twits? I've read about them!"

He and another brother had to explain to us who "Twits" are. 

The Twits is a humorous children's book written by Roald Dahl and illustrated by Quentin Blake. It was written in 1979, and first published in 1980.
Mr. and Mrs. Twit are two ugly, smelly, nasty, stupid people who spend their lives playing nasty tricks on each other.

And we explained to them what "tweets" are.   

Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters displayed on the author's profile page and delivered to the author's subscribers who are known as followers.

So the moral of this is ~ you guessed it ~ Send a tweet not a twit! Gosh say twit or tweet 3 times quickly and you'll be ready for Halloween.

Toasted caramel is September's Scent

I love anything caramel! What a glorious scent which definitely reminds me of the taste of carameled apples and making caramels too. D's favorite scents remind her of her Dad

It appears cousin D's favorite scents remind her of her Dad, B's Uncle. She really likes leather, oxford, casablanca, cashmere and boysenberry moss.  It's so amazing how happy it made her feel to think of her Dad who had just dropped her off to college. 

She also likes strawberry and blueberry cheesecake. I think that's the #1 for her.

W's favorite scents are fruity scents

My friend W's favorite Scentsy scents are "lucky in love" and any fruity types so I just sent her a bunch  today.  I sent her pumpkin roll, baked apple pie etc. for autumn as well.  I'll have to ask her what memories come to mind for her and why these scents make her feel  happy.

Canada launch delayed until October 1st

Well Canadian friends, you'll have to wait until October 1st to order your Yukon Scentsy warmers.  The launch of the sale of the products into Canada has been delayed.

Leather reminds her of the family ranch

One of the neighbor girls likes the Scentsy scent of leather.  Smelling the scent immediately brought back happy memories of living on the family ranch when she was smaller.  She sat for an hour opening each scent and giving her dramatic reaction to each.  :)  I tell you, the memories that are evoked by smelling Scentsy scents are instantaneous!

Babysitter likes French Kiss

It's not as scandalous as it sounds.  Our babysitter really likes the Scentsy scent "French Kiss".  It was such an instant reaction that she was embarrassed when she learned what the scent's name is.

Scentsy Goes North to Canada!

YESTERDAY I signed up as a Scentsy Consultant and TODAY I am in Salt Lake City at the Scentsy Convention!

Scentsy announced this morning that as of September 1, 2009 we can sell Scentsy in Canada and sign up Direct Sales Consultants in CANADA!

What a wonderful groundfloor opportunity for the product and those who sell it.

Beach Scent in the Bathroom

After smelling all 80 scents over and over again, our children chose beach as the one to bring home from Tauscha's.

We set it up in the kids bathroom which is full of sea shells and other "beach" type decorations.

Beach was also the scent given out as a sample at the Scentsy convention.
